Shagofy moves real money for real businesses. These rules exist so that merchants, shoppers and our payment partners can trust every store on the platform. Breaking them can mean a suspended store, a frozen wallet, or a report to the authorities.
1. Businesses we cannot serve
- Anything illegal where you or your customer are, including stolen, counterfeit or smuggled goods.
- Drugs, prescription medicines sold without a licence, and substances sold to get around drug laws.
- Weapons, ammunition and explosives.
- Sexual services, and sexual material involving anyone under 18.
- Gambling, betting and lotteries without the licence your country requires.
- Money transmission, currency exchange, crypto trading desks, loan sharking and any business whose product is other people's money.
- Pyramid schemes, matrix schemes, "investment" plans promising fixed returns, and anything that pays old members from new members' money.
- Human or wildlife trafficking, and endangered species.
- Anything our payment partners or a regulator tell us we may not process.
2. Things you may not do
- Take payments for a business other than the one you verified with us, or let someone else use your store or wallet to collect money.
- Put through payments that are not real sales - testing a stolen card, moving your own money to look busy, or "cleaning" money for someone else.
- Give us false identity documents, a false business name, or a bank account that is not yours.
- Charge a shopper for something you cannot or will not deliver.
- Break into, overload or probe the platform: no scraping at scale, no automated account creation, no attacking other merchants' stores.
- Use customers' details for anything except serving that customer, or sell their data.
- Send messages through our WhatsApp features to people who never contacted you.
3. What we do about it
- We may hold a payment, pause withdrawals or suspend a store while we look into a report.
- Serious or repeated breaches end the account, and money that is the proceeds of fraud is returned to the people it came from where we can.
- We report what the law requires us to report, and we answer lawful requests from regulators and the police.
- If you think we got it wrong, write to us: a person will look at it again.
4. Telling us about a problem
If you find a store breaking these rules, or a weakness in our security, tell us. Security reports are welcome: give us the details and reasonable time to fix it, and we will not take action against you for reporting honestly.
